My Journey: From teaching math to personal development
Who am I ?
I want to tell you about myself in complete authenticity. However, it is not always easy to convey an emotion felt through words.
I followed a traditional school path, primary school, general secondary education and baccalaureate. I always did well in school but it required a lot of homework. I didn't always feel fulfilled in the school system. I held on to it because it was important “for later”. After graduating, I asked myself, “What if school was important for today?” The encounters and experiences we have there make us grow! I then asked myself: “learn”, “learning”, “grow”, what do these words mean? A child learns to walk by looking and observing those around him, trying several times, asking for help, falling, starting again and again until he becomes independent.
As a mathematics teacher for four years, I wanted to give a taste for mathematics and help each of my students gain self-confidence and show them that they were capable of passing the math course like any other course. During these years, I realized that I wanted to offer more individualized support for children and adolescents. What drove me deep down was the desire to help them grow and evolve in the broadest sense of the term. I want to be that little hand that accompanies a person in a moment of questioning, doubt, fear or desire for change.
After much reflection, I made the decision to leave teaching. I started a path towards my inner treasure. Who am I ? What am I capable of? What do I have to bring to the world? I looked for my “Why”, my Ikigai, my reason for being, whatever you call it. The most “Wow” in this story is that by looking for my “Why”, I quite simply learned to live with more joy, freedom and lightness. This journey allowed me to reconnect with who I really am and to develop my heart activity “On the Path of Wise Apprentices”. Today, I am a lover of life!

Now, in some way, I want to continue teaching. I teach differently and another subject. I put my energy, my skills and my knowledge at the service of children and adolescents. I show them, we try together until they become independent. Children are apprentices who will enrich themselves with new knowledge and skills to use them wisely in their daily lives. Reconnecting with your wisdom means reconnecting with your inner treasure, your true Self, your confidence and learning to seek resources within yourself to use in the experiences that life throws your way. I look forward to being that little hand for each person I support!
What is particularly close to my heart is helping everyone give meaning to their lives. I want to teach them to flourish, to dare, to dream, to create and to discover their resources, which increases motivation and self-confidence. In addition to my training as a mathematics teacher, I am trained in academic and professional guidance, Ikigai, the working method, certain forms of meditation, certain tools of psychoeducational care and other personal development tools.
